About US

This blog came about to share our Camino experiences with the hope that adventure seekers could pick up on some insight about traveling the Camino de Santiago and especially traveling with your spouse.  24/7 for 39 days on the camino and an additional 51 days throughout Europe afterwards. Our daily experience, deep thoughts, what we should have packed, not packed, and what we couldn't live without. Oh, and stay married in the process.

We are avid travelers (traveltagg.com) over 30 years together and still like each other. Lets be clear, "Vacation Al" appears the moment we step out the front door at the beginning of every adventure, and unfortunately he is left behind on the airplane upon our return home! Very sad indeed, as he morphs into the most amazing, fun-loving, curious, dancing fool, when we are not home.  Surely, I am not so wound when not home either. Who wouldn't be when you are out in nature, when you are experiencing the world, meeting new people and learning about new cultures? This is the life we would like 24/7.

We built a beautiful home in San Francisco Bay area (literally from the ground up). Raised amazing, successful and kind athletic humans (translation = sports every weekend from birth through college) and now its our turn! Our special talents are we are a team, how well we adapt to our surroundings, understand each others strengths in each situation and have zero fear about the "unknown."  We laugh about it and say, "EH?" we will always figure it out. Missed Connections, thieves on the train, lost luggage, no money and nowhere to sleep, EH! well figure it out. And, yes, we did try out for the Amazing Race.

Hopefully we will inspire you to travel, take a leap of faith, live out a dream, check off that bucket list item or just take one baby step towards trying something new!
